The Pizzo Tambo ( 3279 m above sea level ) - German Tambohorn , Rhaeto-Romanic Piz Tambo with its four-sided summit pyramid is the highest mountain in the Tambogroup on the Italian-Swiss border.
location
The Pizzo Tambo lies between the Val Curciusa in the west and the Splügen Pass in the east. Since it is clearly visible from the Hinterrheintal , it is also known as Splügen's local mountain .
Politically, the mountain can be classified as follows:

Mountaineers and ski tourers enjoy a wide view and deep view of the Areua Valley from the summit. From the Splügen Pass you can reach the summit via a high alpine path. Alp Tambo is the summer pasture area for the livestock of the farmers of the Felsberg community and is owned by them.
