Hellspawn was a Swedish independent label based in Johanneshov , Söderort , Stockholm . The label was founded in 1994 by David Parland and only released ten records. The first release was the debut EP by Parland's band Dark Funeral at the time , which sold around 15,000 times. In addition, the label released records for the bands Abruptum , Deathwitch , Infernal , War , VON and Maze of Torment . Since 2003 no further recordings of the label have been released. The owner Parland died on March 19, 2013.
