Andrew Pera "Andy" Wozniewski (born May 20, 1980 in Buffalo Grove , Illinois ) is a former American ice hockey player who played 79 games for the Toronto Maple Leafs , St. Louis Blues between 1999 and 2015 and Boston Bruins in the National Hockey League on the position of the defender has denied. Wozniewski spent most of his career in the American Hockey League as well as in Germany and Switzerland .

Career

Andy Wozniewski was a brief student at the University of Massachusetts Lowell , where he also played ice hockey. In the 2000/01 season he was active for the team of the Texas Tornado in the North American Hockey League , before he played three years for the team of the University of Wisconsin in the National Collegiate Athletic Association . In his final season at the university, Wozniewski was the team captain .

His professional debut came in the 2003-04 season , when he first played for the St. John's Maple Leafs in the American Hockey League . In the 2005/06 season he made his debut in the National Hockey League for the Toronto Maple Leafs . His best NHL season was the 2007/08 season with 48 appearances, two goals, seven assists and 54 penalty minutes in the jersey of the Toronto Maple Leafs. In the National Hockey League Wozniewski also has a game or two games for the St. Louis Blues and Boston Bruins in his Palmarès .

For the 2010/11 season , the American moved to Switzerland for EV Zug . There he was in his first season with 123 penalty minutes in the qualification of the player who has spent the longest time in the penalty box. In the 2011/12 season he was the most dangerous defender in the National League A with eleven goals . Between 2013 and 2015 he was under contract with EHC Red Bull Munich in the German Ice Hockey League . Due to a concussion , he missed most of the 2014/15 season and then ended his active career.

International

The defender represented his home country at the Germany Cup in 2011 and 2013 . He won it with the Americans in 2013.
