Helmut Buschbom

Helmut Buschbom (* 24. April 1921 in Thale , † 16th January 2017 in Berlin ) was a German lawyer and politician of the CDU . He was a member of the German Bundestag from June 16, 1981 to December 22, 1990 .

Life

At the age of 18, Bushbom was wounded in World War II and received the Iron Cross . In 1944 he met his future wife Käthe in Breslau and moved with her to Berlin-Spandau , the couple has two daughters. Helmut Buschbom studied law and worked as a judge and director of the Charlottenburg district court and the reparation offices.

politics

Buschbom has been a member of the CDU since 1957. There he worked as a citizen's deputy in the Spandau district council and as chairman of the old town branch. From 1977 to 1988 he was district chairman of the Spandau CDU. As a replacement for Richard von Weizsäcker , Helmut Buschbom entered the German Bundestag on June 16, 1981 and was a member of it until the end of the 11th electoral term on December 22, 1990. From 1991 to 1995 he was chairman of the district party court of the CDU Spandau. On February 18, 1997, Helmut Buschbom was appointed honorary chairman of the Spandau CDU for his services.
