Helmut Denter

Helmut Denter (born June 8, 1928 in Lengerich , Tecklenburg district ; † June 28, 2018 ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Live and act

Denter passed his Abitur in 1949. He then worked as a skilled worker at the Bundespost and passed both administrative exams. From 1960 to 1963 he attended the business and administration academy, which he left as a graduate camerawoman.

In 1961 Denter joined the SPD. The following year he became its chairman in the Lengerich local association. Later he was also deputy chairman of the district association and the sub-district. After joining the Postal Union in 1950 , he became a member of the Public Services, Transport and Traffic Union in 1968 . In 1961 he moved into the Lengerich city council for the first time. In 1963 he became mayor of Lengerich. Also in 1961 he was elected to the district council of the Tecklenburg district. From 1964 he was deputy district administrator - initially for Richard Borgmann , later for Laurenz Börgel . He resigned his offices and mandates in 1968 after he was elected city director of Lengerich and the regional assembly of Westphalia-Lippe . He was a member of the latter until 1994. In 1969 he moved to the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia, to which he was a member only for a short time until 1970.
