Helmut Carol Klimek , also Helmuth Klimek (born March 16, 1941 in Lugoj , Kingdom of Romania ) is a music teacher , composer and music publisher .

Life

In Romania

Helmut Klimek grew up in a family of German origin in the Banat and received classical training in piano, accordion, guitar and singing. After training as a music teacher, he was employed from 1963 to 1980 at the folk art school (Şcoala Populară de Artă) in Lugoj, where he taught accordion, singing, guitar and percussion . At the same time he was director of the entertainment orchestra there.

Concert performances and world premieres of his own works followed. In 1979 the first sheet music album for electronic organ with 13 original compositions was published under the title Rhythm Parade (Parada Ritmurilor) by the publisher editura litera in Bucharest . It was published in 60 Romanian cities. In cooperation with the city ​​theater (Teatrul Municipal) in Lugoj in the musical Broadway-Melodie 1492 (also Christopher Columbus ) after Jura Soyfer , he received the first national prize (Premiul Naţional) and a gold medal, both as a pianist and as conductor of the musical orchestra. He was a long-time member of the Union of Composers and Musicians in Romania (Uniunea Compozitorilor și Muzicologilor din România - UCMR).

In Germany

Helmut Klimek moved to the Federal Republic of Germany in 1980. In 1983 he published seven musical works and in 1985 the music publisher Banana-Flip-Music in Biberach published the record Apollo-Melodie and the sheet music album Das goldene Spielheft with twelve compositions. In memory of the Italian orchestra leader Mantovani , a serenade and a performance piece for electronic organ were created in 1988 .

From 1985 to 2008 he taught piano, electronic organ and keyboard in his own private music school in Stuttgart.

Since 1988 he has published interpretations and music in the music publishing house Helmut Klimek in Stuttgart .
