Helmut Münch (politician, 1933)

Helmut Münch (born August 3, 1933 in Neuthard ; † July 20, 2017 in Mannheim ) was a German lawyer and politician of the SPD .

Life and work

Helmut Münch was in 1962 with the work of the self-favoring at the University of Heidelberg to the Dr. jur. PhD . After that he was a judge at a local court and a regional court. In 1970 he became head of the Mannheim Regional Court . From 1983 he was head of the notary's office and land registry in Mannheim . His daughter is the doctor and politician Martina Münch .

politics

In 1972 Münch was elected to the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg , to which he belonged to a total of five legislative periods until 1992. He represented the Mannheim II constituency and was deputy chairman of the SPD parliamentary group and chairman of the environmental committee. After leaving the state parliament, he was awarded the Baden-Württemberg Medal of Merit by Prime Minister Erwin Teufel in 1994 .
