Lieselotte Schweikert

Lieselotte Schweikert (born August 11, 1937 in Duisburg ; † May 3, 2020 ) was a German politician ( FDP ). She was a member of the Baden-Württemberg state parliament from 1998 to 2001.

Life and work

After elementary school in Edingen , Lieselotte Schweikert completed an apprenticeship as a technical draftsman. She worked until 1990 and retired in 1997. Schweikert was married and has two children.

Lieselotte Schweikert died on May 3, 2020 at the age of 82.

politics

Schweikert joined the FDP in 1975 and became treasurer of the Edingen-Neckarhausen local association , vice-chairwoman in 1994 and chairwoman in 1999. In 1976 she became deputy chairwoman of the Rhein-Neckar regional association and from 1983 to 1989 she was the European representative of the Baden-Württemberg regional association. Since 1980 she has been a member of the Edingen-Neckarhausen municipal council , and since 1984 she has been an honorary deputy mayor. From 1984 to 1999 she was a member of the district assembly of the Rhein-Neckar-Kreis and there deputy chairwoman of the FDP parliamentary group. In 1998 she moved up for Hans Freudenberg in the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg , where she represented constituency 39 ( Weinheim ) and was a member of the petitions committee . In the 2001 state elections, she narrowly failed to return. From 2004 to 2007 Schweikert was again district councilor for the Rhein-Neckar district.

Honors

Lieselotte Schweikert was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit and the Badge of Honor of the Baden-Württemberg Municipal Council.
