Helmut Ranze

Helmut Ranze (* 1948 in Welver , Kreis Soest ) is an international boxing - sports official and former German boxing national coach .

Career

Helmut Ranze learned boxing at the Boxring Hamm and became a Westphalian youth champion at the age of 16. He came to Worms through the German Armed Forces , where he took over the boxing relay of the 1846 Worms gymnastics community in 1972 and with her became German vice-team champion in 1979 in the Worms annual gymnasium of the 1846 Worms gymnastics community.

Ranze acquired the necessary trainer licenses and passed the examination to become a qualified sports teacher at the German Sport University Cologne with very good . After that, his sporting paths took him through all continents.

From 1977 to 1980 Ranze was a voluntary association trainer in the Southwest German Amateur Boxing Association (SWABV), from 1980 to 1990 he was a full-time national trainer at the federal base in Worms / Mannheim. Until 2008 he was the senior sports director in the German Boxing Association (DBV) and coordinated the work of the national coaches as head coach.

In 2006 he was elected Vice President of the European Amateur Boxing Association (EABA), now the European Boxing Confederation (EUBC). Ranze was then deputy chairman of the technical rules commission in the world association Association Internationale de Boxe Amateure (AIBA).

Ranze is a member of the advisory board for trainers of the German Olympic Sports Confederation and vice-president of the executive board of the Rhine-Neckar Olympic base. In 2013, Ranze was appointed provisional chairman of the AIBA technical and control committee.

The World Association of Amateur Boxers ( AIBA ) appointed boxing official Ranze as supervisor for the Summer Olympics in Brazil in August 2016 .

Awards

  • On June 30, 2009, the Minister-President of Rhineland-Palatinate, Kurt Beck, presented the Federal Republic of Germany with the Cross of Merit on Ribbon awarded by the Federal President .
  • In 2011 Ranze received the city sports medal in silver from the city of Worms.
  • On December 21, 2016, AIBA will award Helmut Ranze the best supervisor of 2016. ( [1] )
