Helmut Seidenbusch (* 1969 ) is an Austrian cultural manager , foundation manager and former singer . He is Program Director at the Bertelsmann Foundation .

Life

Seidenbusch comes from Ried im Innkreis , where he also attended schools. He studied singing at the Mozarteum Salzburg , the Basel Music Academy and the Utrecht Conservatory , as well as choral conducting, also in Basel. From 1993 he worked as a classical singer ( bass ), initially only in the concert field, from 1996 also in opera productions. He was a guest a. at the Theater Basel , at the Semperoper Dresden and at the Oper Frankfurt . Engagements led him to the Aix-en-Provence Festival , the Lincoln Center Festival New York and the Styrian Autumn . Helmut Seidenbusch sang around 80 world premieres .

From 2007 Helmut Seidenbusch studied theater and orchestra management at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts . In 2009 he worked at the State Theater in Karlsruhe as a dispatcher and production manager. from 2009 to 2012 he was Education Manager at the Beethoven Fest Bonn .

In 2012 he founded the agency Seidenbusch Musik Management. The agency combined classic artist management with a consultancy and offered services for organizational development, fundraising and music education. He was also a project manager at the Federal Academy for Musical Education in Trossingen and a lecturer at the Detmold University of Music .

In 2016, Helmut Seidenbusch took over the management of the Bertelsmann Stiftung's musical support program. The program works in the field of cultural education, u. a. as a member of the Council for Cultural Education and in promoting young opera singers.

Helmut Seidenbusch is married, has three children and lives in Bielefeld.
