Helmut Seiffert

Helmut Seiffert (born April 27, 1927 in Hameln , † November 5, 2000 in Erlangen ) was a German philosopher and scientific author.

Seiffert studied humanities in Göttingen . He then worked in business, but during this time also dealt with economics and sociology . From 1965 he was engaged in logic and basic mathematical research in Erlangen . He was later appointed honorary professor at the University of Kassel .

He is the author of several basic works on the philosophy of science and hermeneutics . His "Introduction to the Theory of Science", published for the first time in 1969, has seen numerous new editions.
