Helmut Walch
Helmut Walch (born November 2, 1944 in Imst , Tyrol ) is an Austrian game developer and book author.
Life
After the textile merchant worked for an Austrian sports fashion manufacturer for two years, Walch switched to a German advertising agency that worked for fashion houses. In 1967 he went to his parents' business in Imst, which he took over in 1970 and then expanded. The company was shut down at the end of 2008 and Walch has since retired.
Together with Christian Raffeiner, he developed various board games that were published by various publishers from 1987 to 1993. Walch has been the sole author since 1995.
His edutainment system, published by Ravensburger in 2004 as Rollino , was patented.
He has published around 70 different gift books and life guides, some of which have been translated into English, Danish and Dutch, and in 2015 he and Angela Holzmann also published the children's book Everything would do for you .
Walch lives in Imst in the Austrian state of Tyrol.
Honors
Among other things, Walch worked for the Chamber of Commerce, which awarded him the honorary title of Commercial Councilor .
