Helmuth Kainer

Helmuth Kainer (born June 7, 1924 - June 17, 2018 ) was a German electrical engineer and professor of communications engineering . He was the founding rector of the Furtwangen University of Applied Sciences (FHF) and played a key role in the expansion of the Furtwangen University.

Life

Helmuth Kainer worked from 1961 in Furtwangen at the then engineering school as a lecturer for the basics of electrical engineering and communications engineering in the precision engineering department. In 1970 he became director of the state engineering school in Furtwangen and, after the engineering school was renamed the technical college, from 1971 to 1977 founding rector of the technical college in Furtwangen, today's Hochschule Furtwangen University (HFU) . In 1989 he retired.

He was a co-founder of the Product Engineering faculty . Most recently, he taught subjects such as documentation and communication, speech technology, and learning and presentation technology.

From 1976 to 1977 Kainer was chairman of the University of Applied Sciences Rectors' Conference (FRK) .
