The Henn GmbH (proper spelling: HENN ) is an internationally active German architectural firm headquartered in Munich . The architecture office is best known for its office and industrial buildings. It is run by Gunter Henn and 22 partners. In the offices in Munich, Berlin and Beijing , around 350 employees work in project teams made up of architects, interior designers, planners and engineers (as of March 2019).

history

The office was founded in 1979 by Gunter Henn in Munich and is the successor to the office of Walter Henn , who was an office partner until 1989 (Henn + Henn Architects). The company has been trading as Henn GmbH since 2013.

The architecture office is active in the areas of cultural and office construction, teaching and research as well as development and production.

Projects like the Autostadt in Wolfsburg , the Gläserne Manufaktur in Dresden and the project house in the BMW Group Research and Innovation Center in Munich have attracted global attention. A large number of large construction projects will be realized in China in the 2010s, including the company headquarters for the largest insurance companies China Life and Taikang Life , production facilities for BMW in Shenyang and the science city Nanopolis in Suzhou.

The spectrum includes programming, architectural design, interior design, urban design and master planning, quantity surveying and construction management as well as sustainability.

The company ranks 41st on the list of the 100 architecture firms with the highest turnover worldwide and 17th in the top 50 architectural firms in Europe.
