The Danish town of Henne Strand is located in southwest Jutland and belongs to the municipality of Varde in the Syddanmark region (until the municipal reform in 2007 , the town was part of the Ribe district ).
The holiday resort on the North Sea , which is particularly popular with Germans, consists mainly of facilities that serve tourism. Henne Strand is surrounded by a large number of holiday homes, and the town center mainly consists of small shops and restaurants that are open all year round. In addition, Henne Strand has a campsite, an indoor swimming pool, tennis courts, bike and horse rental, a mini golf course and an international 18-hole golf course nearby.
Henne Strand has a wide sandy beach, which is followed by high dunes up to 25 m high.
The “Henne Mølle Å Badehotel” is located on the little river Henne Mølle Å. It was built in 1936 according to plans by the renowned architect Poul Henningsen . The operators Othilia and Thekla Thorup made their hotel a contact point for the Danish women's movement and liberal cultural workers from the capital in the early years.
The place name Henne, ever since 1145 has as Hænningh, derives from hane (Hahn dt.) From, originally meant so "place ( black grouse , capercaillie ) taps".

Henne Strand is on the secondary route 465, which leads 14 km from the primary route 181 to the beach. In town, the street is called Strandvejen and forms the main street.
