Henning Wegter (born March 20, 1987 in Nordhorn ) is a German volleyball player and manager.

Career

Wegter began his career in 1999 at TV Nordhorn. In 2002 he followed his father Bernd to FC Schüttorf 09 . The middle blocker, whose sister Anna plays at SCU Emlichheim , later went to the VC Olympia Berlin junior team and played in the junior national team. He moved from the capital to the Bundesliga club TSV Giesen / Hildesheim . Despite his own good performance, he could not prevent the club from relegating in 2009. Thereupon he was obliged by Moerser SC . In 2013 Wegter was the winner of the first "Hammawurf WM". Then he moved to the second division TSG Solingen Volleys . With TG 1862 Rüsselsheim , he was promoted to the first Bundesliga in 2015 . After the team was renamed United Volleys Rhein-Main , Wegter was manager and managing director of United Volleys.

Wegter has been working for the DFB in marketing since 2018 .
