Henning from Winckel-Logau

Karl Hans Henning from the Winckel (born May 27, 1863 in Ober Heidersdorf , Lauban district , † September 16, 1925 in Magdeburg ) was a German politician. He was the owner of the manor and from 1916 to 1918 a member of the German Reichstag .

Winckel-Logau attended the Vitzthumsche Gymnasium in Dresden and studied law at the University of Leipzig from 1883 to 1886 . He then signed up for voluntary service as a reserve officer. As such, he later took part in the First World War with the rank of major from 1914. He then became a court trainee and from 1892 to 1894 he was finally a court assessor. Winckel-Logau then completed an agricultural training course by 1894. From 1896 he ran his 263 hectare manor in Logau and a 287 hectare in Schlesisch-Hangsdorf. He was later awarded an honorary doctorate.

Winckel-Logau ran for the German Reichstag in 1912, but was not elected. After the death of the Reichstag member Georg Oertel , a by-election took place in which he was elected to the Reichstag as a candidate for the German Conservative Party . There he represented the constituency of Breslau 4 ( Namslau , Brieg ). Also from 1915 to 1918 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives (constituency Glogau - Lüben).
