Henning von Wedel

Henning Tronje Joachim von Wedel (* 1945 in Wentorf near Hamburg ) is a German lawyer .

biography

Henning von Wedel is a son of the District Court Director Hasso von Wedel and Rosemarie von dem Hagen, a daughter of Major General Oskar von dem Hagen . Heinrich Kaspar , Ewald Joachim and Wedego von Wedel are among his other ancestors .

Wedel studied law in Hamburg and Freiburg im Breisgau from 1965 to 1969 . After passing the second state examination in 1972, he worked as a research assistant for Herbert Krüger, a Hamburg specialist in international law, until his doctorate in 1975 . Since then he has worked as a lawyer, now also as a specialist lawyer for commercial and corporate law and business mediator in Hamburg.

In addition, he has been involved in civil and church politics for a long time - on the board of the Hamburg Bar Association, in the management of the North Elbian Church and later the North Church and as a member of the 12th Synod of the Evangelical Church in Germany (2016-2022). Since 2012 he has also been a lecturer in commercial and corporate law at the University of Hamburg .

The origin and constitution of the northern church has v. Wedel as chairman of the legal committee of the North Elbe Synod, as a member of the constitutional group and as chairman of the legal committee of the constituent synod of the northern church. The final editing and the introduction of the final constitutional text in the constituent synod of the Northern Church was in his hands.

Wedel has been married since 1967 and has two sons.
