Henri Calame
Henri Calame (born October 17, 1867 in Le Locle , † October 17, 1936 in Gempenach ) was a radical (free-spirited) politician in the Swiss canton of Neuchâtel . He was a primary school teacher and 1892–1912 editor of the Neuchâtelois, a radical publication organ.

Calame tried to supply the Val de Ruz with electricity and drinking water . As a state councilor and head of the cantonal department (ministry) for public buildings, he managed to modernize the road network. He had previously headed the Department of Agriculture. For health reasons, he announced his resignation in 1931, which was criticized in view of the economic crisis.
