Henri Debehogne

Henri Debehogne (born December 30, 1928 in Maillen (today a district of Assesse ), † December 6, 2007 in Uccle ) was a Belgian astronomer .

Debehogne studied at the University of Namur . He worked at the Royal Observatory of Belgium in Uccle / Ukkel and specialized in the astrometry of comets and asteroids .

He discovered more than 700 asteroids, including the Trojans (6090) 1989 DJ and (65210) Stichius (the latter together with Eric Walter Elst ). The asteroid (2359) Debehogne was named after him and the asteroid (2852) Declercq after his wife .
