Henri Philibert Joseph Delmotte

Henri Philibert Joseph Delmotte (born March 14, 1822 or May 14, 1822 in Baudour , Hainaut , † July 10, 1884 in Brussels ) was a Belgian playwright .

Delmotte studied law and then entered the civil service, where he was district commissioner in Nivelles . But he soon retired into private life and settled in Brussels. In favor of the formation and promotion of a national theater for French-speaking Belgians, he conducted a very lively polemic in leaflets and newspaper articles from 1879 to 1880 . In addition to numerous articles in magazines, Delmotte also published books. He wrote several comedies in which he describes the middle class in Belgium.
