Henrik Andersson (handball player)
Henrik Andersson (born June 11, 1971 ) is a former Swedish handball player who was mostly used as a left backcourt player .
The 1.98 m tall right-handed player played in the Swedish Elitserien for HK Drott , with whom he became Swedish champions in 1994 and 1999. In 2000 he came to the German Bundesliga club TSV Bayer Dormagen as top scorer , with whom he was relegated to the 2nd handball Bundesliga in 2002 . After three years he returned to Halmstad . For HK Drott, Andersson scored 2590 goals in 693 games.
Henrik Andersson made his debut in the Swedish national team in 1994. At the 1998 European Championship , he was European Champion. At the 1999 World Cup , he beat the Russian team in the final and became world champion. By 2002 he played 53 international matches in which he scored 72 goals.
