Henry C. Gordon

Henry Charles Gordon (born December 23, 1925 in Valparaiso , Indiana , USA ; † September 24, 1996 in Peoria , Arizona , USA) was a Colonel in the United States Air Force and USAF astronaut .

Gordon received his Bachelor of Science degree in aerospace engineering from Purdue University in 1950 and an MBA from the University of Southern California in 1966 . He was selected as a Dyna Soar astronaut in April 1960 and trained at the Air Force Flight Test Center, Edwards Air Force Base , California. Gordon ended his astronaut career in December 1963 with the termination of the Dyna-Soar program without having flown into space.

He was a fighter pilot in Vietnam and Korea .
