World premieres and premieres

Own compositions

His compositions include: organ pieces, songs to texts from the Holy Scriptures, motets for choir (a cappella and with organ accompaniment), 2 offers for orchestra,

  • 2000: Missa
  • 2005: Vespers
  • 2010: Requiem: "I stepped into loneliness ..."
This composition juxtaposes part of the Latin requiem text with a poem by Hugo von Hofmannsthal , a text by Josef Fink, the deceased director of the Minorite cultural center, and a text by the prophet Isaiah . Hofmannsthal's text asks about the meaning of growth and decay, Josef Fink knows about human inadequacy and the prophet Isaiah finds wonderful words of comfort for those who mourn. The cast is economical. String trio, wind quartet, organ, two soloists and choir give the work a chamber-musical character. Loud, dramatic effects are also possible, especially with the brass and organ.
  • 2013 Quis est Deus - An interreligious cantata: commissioned composition that was premiered at the time of an interreligious conference. A Latin hymn to the Trinity by the theologian Anton Kolb was combined with texts from various world religions ( Hinduism , Buddhism , Daoism , Islam ) and set to music by Herbert Bolterauer to create a cantata with soprano and bass solo, string trio, three recorders, two trombones, organ and choir.
  • 2014 ELIA - oratorio for solos, orchestra and choir. Text: Alice Le Trionnaire-Bolterauer
