Herbert Christ (politician)

Herbert Christ (born January 20, 1941 in Nuremberg ) is a German politician of the FDP and former member of the German Bundestag .

Life

Christ attended a natural science high school, where he obtained the qualification for higher education. In 1959 he entered the senior administrative service of the city of Nuremberg and was later head of trade surveillance at the Office for Public Order. He was also a teacher at the Bavarian Administration School.

politics

Christ joined the FDP Bavaria in 1968 and was chairman of the Nuremberg Young Democrats from 1969 to 1971 . In 1971 he became FDP district chairman in Nuremberg. From December 13, 1972, he was a member of the German Bundestag for one legislative period . He was elected via the state list of the FDP in Bavaria . In the Bundestag he was a full member of the Committee on Youth, Family and Health until September 1974. From September 1974 he became a member of the Economic Committee. Because of his inadvertent contacts with the Ministry of State Security, he could no longer recommend himself for another term of office.

In 1981 Herbert Christ and other FDP functionaries left their party in Nuremberg. They could no longer identify with the security and economic policy line of the federal and state party leadership.
