Herbert Ender

Herbert Ender (born June 16, 1901 in Borstendorf , † December 26, 1969 in Murnau / Upper Bavaria ) was a German politician ( NSDAP ) and party functionary. He should not be confused with the SA leader of the same name, Herbert Ender (1903–1934), who was shot in 1934 in the course of the Röhm affair .

Life

After attending elementary school in Borstendorf, Ender completed an apprenticeship as a carpenter. Then he went on a journey in northern Germany. He later received artistic training at the toy school in Grünhainichen and in the Deutsche Werkstaetten-Hellerau.

In 1922 Ender established himself as a manufacturer in Borstendorf. In 1925 he joined the NSDAP. ( Membership number 17711).

From July 1932 to November 1933, Ender sat as a member of his party for constituency 30 (Chemnitz-Zwickau) in the Reichstag . Later he became an honorary NSDAP district leader in the Flöha district . He was also a parish councilor and member of the Saxon parish council.

In 1933 he was a regional economic consultant in Saxony. In 1935 a conflict with Gauleiter Martin Mutschmann led to the move to Feldafing / Bavaria and the handover of his Borstendorfer business to his brother. From 1935 to 1939 he was a consultant on economic issues. In 1937 he was accepted into the SS. Last rank of Sturmbannführer (1939). Joining the SS did not provide the expected protection from Mutschmann's persecution.

In 1939 party positions prevented participation in a company in Berlin. In 1941 he bought a textile company in Brno .

In February 1943 he was drafted into the Wehrmacht. Use in Russia (EKII) and France. Last rank lieutenant.

1945 to 1948 he was an American prisoner of war and internment due to his NSDAP activities. In the denazification he was classified as less polluted.

He made several inventions in the field of plastic applications.
