Herbert Götz
Herbert Götz (born March 14, 1963 in Vienna ) is an Austrian manager.
education
Herbert Götz attended the Realgymnasium Schottenbastei and then the Higher Technical College Vienna 1, Schellinggasse, where he graduated with honors in 1982. After serving as a one-year volunteer with the Austrian Armed Forces and training as a reserve officer , Götz began studying mechanical engineering at the Vienna University of Technology in 1983 , which he graduated in 1990 as a graduate engineer. Also in 1983 Götz joined the Catholic student association KaV Norica in the ÖCV . During his professional activity at Siemens, Götz also completed a doctoral degree at the Vienna University of Technology, completing this as a doctor of technical sciences.
Career
During his studies, Götz already held various management positions in the Federation of Industrialists, as head of cabinet of the Austrian Vice Chancellor Erhard Busek , and later at Siemens AG Austria . In 1998 he was appointed head of the communications and data technology division by Siemens Austria for Austria and Central and Eastern Europe.
At the beginning of 2004 Götz was appointed to the board of the Austrian Post AG. and extended in 2007 for a further board term. As branch and retail director, he was responsible for converting the Austrian Post branch network consisting of 2,000 post offices into a postal partner network with 1,400 postal partners and around 500 jointly operated Post-BAWAG / PSK branches.
An audit report by the Austrian Court of Auditors subsequently assessed the restructuring of the branch network as positive.
When Österreichische Post AG went public in 2006, Götz was responsible for marketing and retail sales of the postal shares via the branch network of Österreichische Post AG .
In addition, Götz was also responsible for the special postage stamp program of the Austrian Post and implemented a contemporary repositioning of this historical business area. Above all, the use of novel materials on postage stamps such as the issue of the world's first postage stamp with meteorite dust, a special stamp with Swarovski crystals, or a special stamp with a built-in "wobble" caused a remarkable international sensation.
In 2012 Götz was appointed to the board of directors of the International Post Corporation in Brussels , where he was responsible for global marketing. In 2015 his mandate was extended for a further period of office.
2019 returned idol to Austria and operates are owned forestry "Forstgut climbing ditch" near Lilienfeld / Lower Austria . In addition, Götz has taken over the management of the GOETZCONSULT management consultancy, which he founded in 2012, and is also a partner in the management consultancy company FOCUS SOLUTIONS
