Herbert Hartung (born October 14, 1947 in Kirchberg, Seesen ) is a German CDU politician and was a member of the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt from 2006 to 2016 .

Life and work

Herbert Hartung finished school with the qualification for a technical college . In 1967 he trained in flower and ornamental plant cultivation . This was followed in 1971 as part of a retraining course as a wholesale and foreign trade clerk . In 1974 he successfully passed the trainer exam .

From 1971 to 1988 he worked as an accountant and trainer. He then worked as a self-employed financial advisor from 1988 to 1990. From 1990 to 1996 he was in charge of the composite products department of a savings bank . Since 1996 he has been working as an independent financial advisor again.

He is married and has three children.

Politics / party

Hartung joined the CDU in 1976. From 1991 to 2001 he was a board member and district treasurer of the CDU city association in Köthen . From 1994 to 2004 he was mayor and from 2005 local mayor of Cösitz . In 2005 the previously independent municipality of Cösitz was incorporated into the municipality of Zörbig . Since then he has been an employee of the Zörbig city ​​administration . Since 2007 he has also been a member of the Anhalt-Bitterfeld district council .

MP

From the state election in 2006 , Hartung was a member of the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt for constituency 28 ( Wolfen ) and remained so until 2016. He sat for his parliamentary group in the committee for food, agriculture and forestry as well as in the committee for petitions. In 2016, however, he was defeated by AfD's Daniel Roi in the fight for the direct mandate ; as his list position was also insufficient to move in, he left the state parliament.
