Herbert Haselwander

Herbert Haselwander (born January 10, 1910 in Freiburg im Breisgau , † May 21, 1940 near Arras ) was a German politician ( NSDAP ).

Live and act

After attending primary and secondary school, Herbert Haselwander learned the agricultural trade. In 1927 he joined the NSDAP. In August 1930 he became Gau managing director and propaganda leader of the Hitler Youth (HJ) in Gau Thuringia .

On December 21, 1931 Haselwander was appointed district leader of the districts of Heiligenstadt and Worbis . In the Hitler Youth he took over duties as Oberbannführer in the staff of area 17 (Thuringia). On July 1, 1936, Haselwander was finally commissioned with the tasks of a district training manager in the district of Thuringia . There was also the office of district deputy in the district of Heiligenstadt.

From March 1936 until his death in 1940 Haselwander also sat as a member of parliament for constituency 12 (Thuringia) in the National Socialist Reichstag . Haselwander's mandate in the Reichstag was then continued by Bruno Biedermann until the end of the war .

Haselwander died in May 1940 during the western campaign . His grave is number 452 of row 12 in block 19 at the military cemetery near Agny .
