Herbert Pachucki

Herbert Pachucki (born July 7, 1924 in Vienna ; † October 17, 2006 ) was an Austrian lawyer, Chamber Office Director of the Lower Austrian Chamber of Commerce and long-time Vice President of the Austrian Cooperative Association (ÖGV).

Career

He served in the war from 1942 to 1945 and received his doctorate in business law in 1948. Within the Lower Austrian Chamber of Commerce, he completed a professional development from 1949 from concept officer in the trade policy department to appointment to chamber office director in 1973.

From 1973 to 1976 he was a board member of the Lower Austrian Legal Society. Until 2002 he was a member of the environmental advisory board of Energieversorgung Niederösterreich (EVN).

Cooperative functions

In 1981 he took over the vice-presidency for goods and services in the Austrian Cooperative Association from Erhard Busek , whereby his main focus was on small and medium-sized businesses, whose interests he also represented as the chamber office director of the Lower Austria Chamber of Commerce.

Pool solutions for energy and telephone, the first corporate governance code of a cooperative group in Austria and the cooperation between Volksbanks , goods and service cooperatives within the association were among his concerns. As a member from 1979 and chairman of the advisory board of Österreichische Volksbanken-Aktiengesellschaft (ÖVAG) from 1984, he held a. a. their restructuring into a commercial bank with a central institution function, its eastward expansion and the integration of Investkredit and Kommunalkredit .

Awards

  • Golden Commander's Cross of Honor for Services to the State of Lower Austria
  • Grand Decoration of Honor in Gold on ribbon of the Austrian Cooperative Association (1994)
  • First holder of the Schulze-Delitzsch Ring of Honor from ÖGV and ÖVAG
  • Awarded the professional title of Professor by the Federal President for scientific work and teaching at the Vienna University of Technology .
