Herbert Rubenbauer (born April 5, 1950 in Ebnath , Upper Palatinate ) was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament for the CSU from 1994 to 2008 . From 2008 to 2014 he was mayor of Ebnath.

He was a member of the Committee on Food, Agriculture and Forestry and the Committee on Federal and European Affairs .

Life

Rubenbauer attended the elementary school Ebnath and reached the secondary school leaving certificate at the Otto-Hahn-Gymnasium Marktredwitz . He then completed an apprenticeship as a banker at Raiffeisenbank Steinwald, where he last worked as a branch manager.

Rubenbauer has been a member of the CSU since 1968; He was district chairman of the Junge Union (JU) for eight years , CSU local chairman in Ebnath for 17 years and from 1991 to 2005 CSU district chairman in the Tirschenreuth district . Since 1972 he has been a local councilor since 1978, he has also been a district treasurer of the CSU Upper Palatinate.

Rubenbauer is Roman Catholic and married. He is a member of the organizations Kolping Society , Catholic Workers' Movement , DJK Sports Association , Voluntary Fire Brigade , Trachten- und Schützenverein, Bund Naturschutz in Bayern , Freundeskreis des Waldsassen Monastery and Freundeskreis Spätberufenenschule Fockenfeld .
