Herbert Wehnert (born April 28, 1947 in Wiesbaden ) is a German handball trainer and former handball player .
Career
Herbert Wehnert initially played for TG Schierstein. Later he ran for the handball Bundesliga club SG Dietzenbach . He was part of the squad of the German national team , with which he took part in the handball world championships in 1970 and 1974 , and in the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich , where he scored twelve goals in five games.
Wehnert has been the coach of the HSG Eppertshausen / Münster district league team since 2012.
