Herbert Wurster

Herbert Wilhelm Wurster (born April 12, 1950 in Plattling ) is a German historian and archivist.

Life

Wurster studied history and English from 1972 to 1978 at the University of Regensburg and at the University of Kent in England . In 1980 he did his doctorate at the University of Regensburg under Andreas Kraus . From 1980 he was archivist of the Diocese of Passau , from 1993 he headed the archive. He retired in February 2019. Wurster is the 2nd chairman of the Association for East Bavarian Local History Research .
