Herbert Zech (legal scholar)
Herbert Zech (* 1974 in Munich ) is a German legal scholar and biologist .
Life
Herbert Zech studied law at the Universities of Erlangen and Munich and received his doctorate in 2003 from the University of Konstanz . He then studied biology at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern from 2003 to 2007 and graduated with a diploma.
In 2012 he was at the University of Bayreuth for civil law , commercial and corporate law , law of intellectual property , competition law and technology law habilitation . Since 2012 he has been an associate professor for private law with a focus on life sciences law at the University of Basel , and since 2015 he has been a full professor for life sciences law and intellectual property law .
In April 2019 he was offered a position at the Humboldt University of Berlin , which is linked to the position of director at the Weizenbaum Institute for the Networked Society .
