Hermann Dyck
Hermann Dyck (born October 4, 1812 in Würzburg , † March 25, 1874 in Munich ) was a German painter, draftsman and etcher.
Hermann Dyck devoted himself to architectural painting in Munich, which he knew how to give special charm through cultural and historical staffage. His connection with the Fliegende Blätter , which has been published since 1844, brought a remarkable satirical talent to maturity in him. In 1854 he took over the management of the drawing school for artisans, in which activity he remained when the institution was elevated to a state institution in 1868.
Hermann Dyck died in March 1874.
Some of his pictures are:
- On the city wall of Erding (1857)
- A cash desk (1858)
- The office (1860)
- In the attic (1860)
- In the painter's studio (1861)
- Interior of a monastery church (1863)
- The Deputation (1864)
- Return of the Mayor (1868)
He also published German proverbs and rhymes in pictures .
