Hermann-Gerhard Gruß (born November 13, 1904 in Demmin ; † November 26, 1971 in Münster ) was a German lawyer and court president at the Münster Social Court .

Life

Gruß was born in Demmin in 1904 and spent his school days in Kolberg . After graduating from high school in 1923 he did an apprenticeship as a banker at Deutsche Bank in Kolberg. He then went to study law at the Georg-August University in Göttingen in 1925 . There he became a member of the Holzminda fraternity . In the summer semester of 1927 he studied in Munich , but then returned to Göttingen and passed his legal traineeship in 1931. Back in his home country he was an assessor and from 1936 he worked in the higher administrative service of the Reich Aviation . After the Second World War , around 1949 he initially worked as Oberfeldintendant at GSO in the von Seeckt barracks in Celle . Shortly after the end of the war, he lost his wife and daughter to typhus . He later worked as an employee of a lawyer in Höxter and in 1954 returned to the civil service as a judge at the Detmold Social Court . In September 1964 he was appointed president of the Münster Social Court. There he retired in 1967.
