Hermann Anacker

Hermann Anacker (born July 18, 1917 in Sankt Privat in Lorraine; † May 4, 2019 ) was a German radiologist .

Hermann Anacker studied medicine in Marburg, Munich, Halle and Vienna. During the war he lost his left forearm. In 1943 he completed his specialist training in radiology at the X-ray Institute of the Surgical University Clinic in Munich . In 1952 he took over the management of the X-ray department of the surgical university clinic in Giessen . In 1963 he became chief physician of the radiation department of the municipal hospital on the right of the Isar in Munich. He was founding professor for X-ray diagnostics at the Technical University of Munich .

He was chairman of the Hessian Society for Medical Radiation and President and Honorary President of the German Radiological Society .
