Hermann Anders

Hermann Anders (born August 12, 1936 in Berlin ) is a German jazz trombonist who has also emerged as a film composer.

Anders studied trombone with Hartmut Behrsing and composition with Andre Asriel and Wolfram Heicking at the Hanns Eisler University of Music in Berlin . From 1962 he played in Klaus Lenz's “Quintet 61” and between 1964 and 1966 with the Jazz Optimists Berlin . In 1967 he was a member of the Manfred Ludwig Septet . The following year he played with Lenz, between 1970 and 1973 with the group SOK . Then he was a member of Uschi Brüning's band ; from 1979 it was part of Fusion . In 1978 he joined the Police episode Bonnys Blues on as an actor. In the 1990s he was a bandleader at Karsten Troyke , played with the Dixie Brothers of Oliver Schulz he etc. From 1997 to 2009 appeared regularly in Josh Sell Horns Jazz Poetry Prose series on.

Anders also wrote music for radio plays , feature films ( Sleeping Beauty 1971) and television.
