Hermann Bürkle (born June 26, 1884 ; † 1914 ) was a German soccer goalkeeper who was later also active as a field player.

Career

Bürkle played from 1904 to 1907 as a goalkeeper for the FV Stuttgart in 1896 , a predecessor of the club VfB Stuttgart and joined the season 1907/08 for FC Stuttgart Cickers . After winning the South German Championship of the team at the final round which took German championship in part and came May 17 at 5: 2 victory over Freiburg FC and on May 24 at 5: 1 win over Duisburg SpV to Commitment. The final held on June 7, 1908 in Berlin on Germania-Platz in front of 4,000 spectators against BTuFC Viktoria 89 was lost with 1: 3; in that game, he let two balls slip through his hands in the last six minutes.

After winning the South German Championship again in 1913 , he only played the quarter-final game , which was lost 2-1 to Duisburg SpV on April 20, 1913 in Frankfurt am Main - now as a left wing runner .

Bürkle, called up for military service at the beginning of the First World War , did not return , like his club colleague Gustav Unfried , no longer from this.
