Harald Kirschner
Harald Kirschner (* 1944 in Reichenberg ) is a German photographer ; His main creative areas are social documentary photography , reportage and everyday photography in the GDR .
Life
Harald Kirschner grew up in Altentreptow in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . Between 1963 and 1965 he completed an apprenticeship as a photographer in Loitz .
From 1968 to 1973 Kirschner studied photography at the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst Leipzig , where he graduated with a diploma. After completing his apprenticeship at this university, he worked there as a university lecturer , before he went freelance in 1981 .
From 1993 to 2003 the photographer was involved in numerous book publications by Pro Leipzig eV - for example about some parts of Leipzig.

Harald Kirschner is married to the children's book - illustrator and - author Jutta Kirschner. The couple have published some books together and live in Leipzig 's Grünau district .
