Hermann Beckby
Hermann Beckby (born May 13, 1890 in Oberlahnstein ; † March 13, 1980 in Diez ) was a German philologist and teacher .
Life
He was the son of a carpenter and attended grammar school in Oberlahnstein from 1902 to 1909. He then studied classical philology and became a teacher. a. in Kassel.
In addition to a few classical non-fiction books, Beckby published the Anthologia Graeca in full for Germany for the first time .
