Tyler Lockett Deron (* 28. September 1992 in Tulsa , Oklahoma ) is an American American football poker players on the position of wide receiver . He plays for the Seattle Seahawks in the National Football League (NFL) and is also used as a returner in the special teams .

college

Lockett played football at Kansas State University from 2011 to 2014 for the Wildcats under coach Bill Snyder . His father Kevin and his uncle Aaron already played on the position of the wide receiver at Kansas State University.

In his freshman year (2011), Lockett was selected as a kick returner / punt returner in the All-American team and received a special award as a wide receiver.

Prior to his junior year (2013), he was nominated for the Allstate / American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Good Works Team . He was then able to open the season against North Dakota State University with 7 pass catches for 113 yards , with a pass catch at 56 yards resulted in a touchdown . In total, he made 1262 and 11 touchdowns in 81 pass catches in the junior year.

He was able to top his stats from the junior year in the last college year (2014). He managed 1515 yards and again 11 touchdowns with 106 passes. This time he was also able to add 402 punt return yards and 2 touchdowns on 21 punt returns.

NFL

Lockett was drafted as the 69th pick by the Seattle Seahawks in the 3rd round of the 2015 NFL Draft . The Seahawks had previously swapped the draft pick. Already in the preseason , he hinted that he may increase the return game the Seahawks as he kicked off against the Denver Broncos a kickoff back 103 yards ran for a touchdown. His first official NFL touchdown came on the first day of the 2015 season against the St. Louis Rams , where he carried a punt over 57 yards into the end zone . On game day three against the Chicago Bears , he managed a kick-return touchdown over 105 yards, which is a Seahawks franchise record for the longest return touchdown. He caught his first touchdown pass against the San Francisco 49ers on Matchday 7. Thus, after Nate Burleson, he is only the second player in the Seahawks to score a touchdown by returning both a pun and a kick and a captured pass within a season. On Matchday 17, he set a Seahawks record for the most punt return yards in a game against the Arizona Cardinals (139). As one of five rookies, he was selected as a return specialist in the Pro Bowl 2016 .

After breaking his leg on Matchday 16 of the 2016 season , he was placed on the Injured Reserve List three days later, on December 27, 2016 .
