Hermann Eckels

Hermann Eckels (born August 7, 1843 in Walsrode , † July 5, 1907 in Göttingen ) was a German lawyer and member of the Prussian House of Representatives .

Life

Eckels was born in 1843 as the son of a superintendent and, after attending grammar school in Hildesheim, studied law at the universities of Berlin , Heidelberg and Göttingen . In 1863 he became a member of the Allemannia Heidelberg fraternity . After exams and doctorate as Dr. iur. From 1870 he worked as a lawyer and notary in Göttingen, where he became a member of the Citizens Committee .

In a by-election on November 21, 1892 he was elected to the Prussian House of Representatives for the constituency of Hildesheim 6 (Göttingen - Hannoversch Münden ), to which he belonged initially until 1898 and again from 1902 to 1907. There he was a member of the parliamentary group of the National Liberal Party . He was also active as a legal advisor and in-house counsel at the Göttingen Chamber of Commerce .
