Hermann Vetter (music teacher)

Hermann Friedrich Vetter (born July 9, 1859 in Großdrebnitz ; † May 21, 1928 in Dresden ) was a pianist and music teacher .

Life

Vetter was the son of the farm owner Friedrich August Vetter and his wife Wilhelmine Pauline, b. Winkler. In 1878 he went to the military, where he a. a. was first violinist and trumpeter in a military band. He then studied piano at the Royal Conservatory for Music and Theater in Dresden. From April 1, 1895, he was a professor at the Conservatory. In 1906 Vetter took over the board of directors for the keyboard instruments department and was a member of the board of directors of the teaching institution, whereupon he was appointed professor on May 29, 1907 .
