Hermann Laforet

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hermann Laforet (born December 3, 1902 in Vienna , † March 20, 1979 ibid) was an Austrian actor in theater and film.

Live and act

Laforet joined the theater in 1920 and has since worked on numerous stages in his hometown of Vienna, including the Kammerspiele, the Stadttheater, the Wiener Volksbühne and, most recently, the Volkstheater for many years. Of corpulent, beefy stature, Laforet embodied mostly grave and massive characters. He also worked for Radio Verkehrs AG and has appeared in front of film and television cameras at irregular intervals since the 1950s. There, too, he played decision-makers of all kinds: a film producer, a court chairman, a minister, a doctor and an officer.
