Hermann Matthias von Attems

Hermann Matthias von Attems († February 13, 1713 in Passau ) was Passau canon , official and master builder of the cathedral .

Life

Hermann Matthias, Count of Attems , studied from 1650 to 1654 as an alumnus of the Collegium Germanicum in Rome. After his ordination he was pastor in Hausleiten (May 1670), Niederhollabrunn and Ruppersthal in Lower Austria , Diocese of Passau , but resided in Passau and had pastoral care by vicars and chaplains, the operation of the economy by secular administrators, sometimes both by an administrator in Personal union.

In 1655 he became canon , in 1677 cathedral builder and in 1684 cathedral dean in Passau. From 1665 to 1676 he was the official and vicar general of the Bishop of Passau for the region above the Enns . He was also canon in Olomouc and Breslau . From 1665 to 1713 he was provost of the collegiate monastery St. Salvator in Passau-Ilzstadt.
