Hermann Noltensmeier

Hermann Noltensmeier (born July 9, 1908 in Heidelbeck , Lippe , † January 3, 1998 ) was a German-Austrian Reformed clergyman. From 1952 to 1954 he was the regional superintendent of the Evangelical Church HB in Austria .

Life

Noltensmeier studied Protestant theology in Marburg , Wuppertal , Berlin and Vienna . In 1934 he began his service as an assistant to Johann Karl Egli in the Vienna-South parish of the Evangelical Church HB in Austria, where he was elected pastor in 1937. Drafted in 1940 as a soldier in the Wehrmacht , he worked as a Wehrmacht pastor until the end of the war, interrupted by several brief arrests. In 1946 he moved to the parish of the Reformed City Church in Vienna . Besides Officially he took over in 1952, the Office of the State Superintendent, that senior clergy of the Evangelical Church HB with a dissertation on the written understanding of Luther and Calvin , he was in 1953. Dr. theol. PhD. In 1954 he returned to his homeland in Lippe to accept a pastor's position at the Erlöserkirche in Detmold . He stayed here until his retirement and was also active as a preacher and publicist.

Noltensmeier was born in 1938 with Irmgard. Felber married. The later state superintendent of the Lippe regional church , Gerrit Noltensmeier, is one of his four children .
