Peter Karner (theologian)

Peter Karner (born May 14, 1937 in Vienna ) is an Austrian Evangelical Reformed theologian , journalist and author.

Life

Peter Karner studied Protestant theology at the University of Vienna and the University of Basel with Karl Barth , Georg Fohrer and Karl Jaspers . From 1965 to 2004 he was pastor at the Reformed City Church in Vienna and from 1986 to 2004 regional superintendent of the Evangelical Church H. B. in Austria . Karner worked for ORF as a radio and television journalist and as a member of the public council. He is the author and editor of numerous books on Christian topics.
