Hermann Peters (politician, 1872)

Hermann Peters (born April 24, 1872 in Hochdonn ; † November 18, 1940 there ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

After attending elementary school, Peters worked as an agricultural worker until 1910 and then as an independent farmer in Hochdonn. Due to his parliamentary activities, he gave up his agricultural property in 1919, called himself "Farmer" from then on and dealt with agricultural policy issues. He joined the SPD, was a member of the Prussian state constitutional assembly from 1919 to 1921 and was then elected to the Prussian state parliament, to which he belonged until 1933. At the end of the 1920s he was also a member of the Schleswig-Holstein Provincial Parliament . In his party he was from 1929 to 1933 a member of the agricultural policy advisory board to the party executive. In 1927 he took part in drawing up the SPD agricultural program.

In addition to his political activities, Peters held various offices and functions. From 1919 to 1933 he was a member of the board of directors of the Hochdonn cooperative, accounting officer for four years, and from 1925 to 1933 chairman of the Central Moor Commission for Prussia . In addition, he was committee chairman of the OKK in Burg from 1919 to 1922 , from 1932 to 1933 member of the supervisory board of the Schleswig-Holstein Höfebank , member of the regional culture commission of the chamber of agriculture for the province of Schleswig-Holstein and member of the upper evaluation committee at the state tax office Schleswig-Holstein. He also founded the rolling, plowing and threshing cooperative in Hochdonn, of which he was a member of the supervisory board.
