Hermann Petzet (born March 24, 1860 in Bonnland , † December 1, 1935 in Munich ) was a German portrait and landscape painter and graphic artist.

Born as the son of the Nuremberg pastor Johann Heinrich Petzet, Petzet studied from October 11, 1878 in the nature class of the Royal Academy of Arts in Munich with Ludwig von Löfftz , then from 1881 at the Grand Ducal Baden Art School in Karlsruhe with Gustav Schönleber .

Petzet went on study trips to France , England and the Netherlands , settled in Karlsruhe, and in 1904 he moved to Dinkelsbühl . Petzet was a member of the Association of Franconian Artists . He was the husband of the actress Caroline Petzet (1856-1919).
